Southeast Edmonton’s Hidden Gem: Fulton Marsh

Feb 06 2020
With its vast green space and tranquil surroundings, Fulton Marsh is a refreshing escape from day-to-day stressors - enjoy relaxing walks, animal sightings, and rediscover the wonders of nature.

Southeast Edmonton Maple Crest

Since its inception in 1997, Fulton Marsh has become Edmonton’s largest storm water recreation area, located on the northwest border of the Maple Crest community. It temporarily stores storm water runoff from the community and releases out into the North Saskatchewan River. Today, it has evolved into a beautiful 75-acre wetland and continues to grow with the addition of new homes and amenities surrounding it. Dream Development has improved the area by landscaping the shoreline, enriching greater plant life assortment and developing a natural habitat for various species of wildlife.

Benefits for You

Maple Crest’s vast trail system is present around much of the wetland’s perimeter and provides for scenic wildlife sightings and recreational activities. It’s also a great way to get in and around the community, with easy access to shopping, a recreation centre, schools, transit and more!

Southeast Edmonton Community

Residents can take pleasure in the benefits of wildlife, scenery and educational opportunities that Fulton Marsh offers. Please keep in mind that Fulton Marsh is a natural park area, and the protection of wildlife inhabiting the marsh is essential. Please do not try to cause harm to the animals, disturb the nesting sites, or damage any forms of plants, trees and native flora.
